Brijuni National Park is one of the most beautiful island archipelagos in the Adriatic, located just off the Istrian coast near Fažana. The park consists of 14 islands and islets, with Veliki Brijun as the largest and most visited.
Once the summer residence of President Tito, Brijuni today attract visitors with their unique combination of nature, history, and cultural heritage. Highlights include the Safari Park with exotic animals, archaeological remains of Roman villas, a Byzantine fortress, the Church of St. Germain with its museum collection, and a botanical garden with centuries-old olive trees.
The island is easily reached by a short boat ride from Fažana and offers a peaceful natural setting combined with important historical sites.
