On this tour, you’ll discover two of the region’s most charming destinations – the picturesque seaside village of Lovran and the elegant coastal resort of Opatija.
Your journey begins in the lovely town of Lovran, where you’ll have free time to wander through the narrow streets and historic churches of its old quarter. The town began attracting visitors in the late 19th century when grand hotels and stylish secessionist villas were built, turning it into one of the most popular resorts along what was once known as the Austrian Riviera.
Enjoy a relaxed walk through the charming old town surrounded by lush vegetation, stop by the small
marina and sample local specialties accompanied by traditional live music.
Afterwards, the tour continues to the sophisticated seaside resort of Opatija. What was once a quiet fishing village transformed in the mid-19th century when aristocrats began arriving to enjoy the mild coastal climate, building elegant villas and welcoming royal guests for winter stays. The town still reflects that historic elegance today.
Take time to stroll through the beautiful Park Angiolina, which surrounds one of the first holiday villas built in the area, or walk along the famous Lungomare Promenade by the sea.
